Indecision...

Oh, y'all, I just can't decide what to do with this skirt!!  The fluffy trim just made me grumpy, so off it came, but now I can't decide what to do.

I kind of like it without any trim at all.  I could just hem it with white thread like Logan's pants.
Here it is denuded of all trim.
But I have this cute giant rick rack that I kind of like.
Here that is pinned on.

What do y'all think??  Should I just hem it?  Should I trim it with the rick rack?  Should I put the fluffy lace back on???

HELP!!

I vote no trim. Either trim adds to the Christmas look, without looks a little more Valentine's Day.

I like the large rick rack best!

I have to confess; I like them both equally - the no trim and the rickrack! The no trim might get more use - but hey, you're only a little girl once:)

I agree with Pammie, I like both the ric-rac and no trim. Not much help, sorry!

Oh, yikes that's a tuffy! I love rickrack but it's making me think "gingerbread" and it takes away from the cute pockets. I think the white topstitching would be really sweet.

If you leave the trim off, you could always add it later . . . . or if you put it on and don't like it, it's just a few swipes of your seam ripper.

How's that for a non-answer? ha ha ha

I would probably leave it off and move on to something else.

I agree, their both cute but the no trim is a little more everyday wear and not just for holidays. Aren't we helpful?

I like both, but I think I like the no trim more. Cute skirt... I love the pockets!

I like it without the trim. I say add white topstitching to the hem and call it a day. The heart pockets really make the skirt and I think the trim takes away from them a bit.

No trim, matches his pants better that way.

Sorry--I like trim. I liked the ruffle, but baring that--I vote for the ric-rak!

I like the ric rac a lot more than the fluffy trim. It matches the pockets better.
I like holiday clothes and my kids wear certain things ONLY the week of a holiday. So, I'm all for the ric rac. It's my favorite.
But if you want more mileage from the skirt, it would look less holiday-costume with no trim.
It's really cute, Katie. I just love holidays.

I really love the big ric rac!!! It matches that on the pockets. So so cute!!! of course I thought it was cute before, but it's even more so with the ric rac!

I vote no trim- The pockets are so cute, they're enough! I think white topstitching would be perfect.

You must use that ric rac. You have giant ric rac; you need no other reason.

What if you use the ric rac, but put it up higher and use that to hem the skirt? Just sew up the hem with the ric rac seam.
It is either nothing or the ric rac. To be honest, the fluffy trim makes me think of of the little pageant girls' outfits -- the ones that are just too much
