Patterns...

Did you get a chance to hit the Burda patterns sale at Hancock's this weekend? They were 2.49!! I know, I was in shock! Good thing they had that 10 pattern limit. Actually, I only got 8, but only because two I wanted were out of stock.
I have been thinking about my crazy pattern collection lately. Myrna posted the other day about how her fabric and pattern collections have started to feel overwhelming, and that really struck a chord with me. My patterns are literally overflowing the six file drawers I have to hold them, and that was before the new additiond. As a result, rather than buying new drawers to fit in new patterns, I'm downsizing. A little. So, check out my newly minted Ebay listings!

Lucky you, being able to buy so many patterns at sale price and what a great selection of patterns. I wonder which were the two that you didn't get! I've only bought one Burda recently - Burda 8351- but I haven't sewn it yet because I can't find any review of it by people who have actually used this pattern. Happy Sewing!

I hit the Hancock's this weekend, too. I can't remember a time that Burda has ever been on sale like that, so I stocked up. Now I just need for them to put Vogue on sale so I can pick up some of the new ones....

Sadly I totally missed this last sale. I'm also glad there is a 10 pattern limit on sales especially when it's the .99 or 1.99 patterns at Joann's. Dang it. There were a few Burda patterns on my wish list. Ah well next time.

Oooh you got some nice Burda patterns. I stopped into Hancock’s after the ASG meeting on Sat. and was shocked and pleasantly surprised to find Burda patterns for $2.49. Hancock’s never stocked them before. I usually buy them from JoAnne's or Pattern Review at a much higher price. For that price I considered buying some that were in past issues of the Burda Style magazine, just to avoid tracing them. They only had one of each pattern and the clerk that I commented on this to, agreed it was strange. But she went on to say that made the patterns really easy to stock.
